The
sound system at the
Davy Lamp is second to none.
Our new sound engineer, Sean Taylor, ably assisted by Melanie. is
very experienced on
the local music scene.
He's a founder member of the Oxclose Music
Project – based in Oxclose Community School, Washington. The
project runs Monday, Tuesday and Friday evenings - 6.30 - 9.30 p.m. working
with young people from Washington aged 13 to 19 to enable them to
fulfill their musical aspirations.
Sean and Mel provide support, equipment and practicing facilities that
allow young people to form their own bands, record their own music and
perform live to their peers and others, in "safe", "dry",
professional venues.
They are now in their 22nd year and still going strong especially their
"PANDEMIC" ™ live performances.
If you want to know more, visit them on Facebook at http://www.facebook.com/groups/108224605340/
