the weekend ....
Phoenix Folk are organising a series of workshops
during Saturday,
culminating in a concert featuring the tutors.
There will be
a song-writing competition. Closing date 18th August. The
themes are 'the River' and 'the Changing Face of Sunderland' First
prize will be a day in Studio 1 recording Studio and a chance to
perform ion the Mainstage. Songs in MP3 or CD format to Terri. or post to 52

There'll also
be a stage for
New and
Emerging artists on Saturday
and Sunday in the National Glass
Centre, as well as concerts each evening.

all around the Riverside and city centre throughout the weekend.
Accommodation
(self-catering) will be
available on the University campus
adjacent to the festival site. Details will be announced when
available.
